Here's how to solve the mystery of the tombs.
How to solve the enigma of the tombs in The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings?
After talking to the prostitute, Geralt heads to the cliff hut, which is southwest of the followers' camp, in a small ravine. Behind the hut (again, to the southwest) is a niche containing four graves, one for Moira, Marissa, Murron, and Malget. Geralt carefully examines each of the graves and pays attention to the symbols on Malget's tombstone.
He then goes back to the cabin and notices the stack of barrels closing the hatch. He uses his Aard sign to remove the obstacle, and descends into the basement below the cabin. There he finds three strange altars with a symbol carved on the front and a candle on top of each one. He decides to light the candles and see what happens. At first he tries to light the candles randomly, but this only causes ghosts to appear, although they are easy to defeat.
Geralt then realizes that the symbols on the altars match those on the tombs, and decides to test the sequence on Malget's own tomb: first light the west candle, as it is marked with a "V", then the west candle. eastern candle, as it has the rhombus rune «♢», and then the northern candle, marked with «Λ». This will open a previously hidden door in the wall, revealing a small room. Inside, Geralt finds a table with Malgett's writings, but cannot understand their meaning and decides that he must find a wizard to translate them (part of the "From a Bygone Age" quest).
So Geralt decides to go to the beach and wait until 11 pm (the time the ghost appeared to Mavrik). At the appointed time, three ghosts appear, actually ghosts. The leader tells Geralt that Mavrik is the one who killed her and her sisters, and that she is after him to get revenge on her. Geralt must decide if he believes her, or if he should talk to Mavric again to confirm the story. He can just kill her here and there, in which case he can go back to camp and tell Mavric that the ghosts are dead, earning the soldier's thanks. In this case the quest will end with a reward of 50 XP.
That's all there is to know to solve the mystery of the tombs in The Witcher 2: The Assassins of Kings.
