If finally you no longer have space in your house for more books and Are you thinking of buying a Kindle?, the price can be a determining factor. There are several models on the market, and various prices. But which would be the best?
We have made a comparison of the different models that exist so that you can better weigh your decision and buy the most suitable Kindle for its price, but also for what it gives you. Do you want to know which one is the winner?
Why buy a Kindle

Why a Kindle and not another book reader? Perhaps this is one of the questions you ask yourself when buying an ereader. But in this case, Kindle stands out from its competition for a few reasons:
- Its screen: having no reflections, and appearing as if it were written like a book, it does not tire the eyes.
- Access to many books: as many as there are ebooks on Amazon. Well, not all because some can only be enjoyed on specific Amazon models. But You have a good variety of books, at different prices (or a subscription to read many more).
- Comfort: It's designed to fit well in your hands so you can read it without taking up a lot of space or feeling cold to the touch.
Of course, it has something wrong, and that is that it only supports the MOBI format. The rest, although they can be inserted, it does not process them and, therefore, you cannot read them with this device.
What to look for to buy a Kindle (not just its price)

When buying a Kindle, the price influences, we know. But before looking at that aspect, do you know what you need from this ereader? Do you want it that you barely have to load it? Maybe it has a capacity for 10.000 books or more?
Among the factors that you should consider before opting for one model or another are:
Kindle capacity
To give you an idea, 4GB will fit about 2500 books (sometimes more, sometimes less). If we take into account that the minimum capacity for Kindles is 8GB, you will have more than enough for these books.
WiFi or 4G
If you asked us, we would tell you WiFi because after all, we always connect to the Internet wherever we go. 4G is more for downloading and buying books when we're not on WiFi, but in reality we can read the ones we've already downloaded without a problem. So It is not worth the extra financial outlay to have it.
Battery
We're not going to fool you, Kindles last. And a lot. In fact, they actually last longer than other ereaders. In general, a basic Kindle can last about 6 weeks with daily use, so charging it once a month (more or less) is a good idea.
Water resistance
It is a plus that is not in all models, but if you take it to the beach, pool, etc. we would recommend you have it to be waterproof. Yes indeed, It does not mean that you can submerge it.
If you drop it in the water, or liquid spills on it, you won't have to worry.
book format
What kind of books do you read? MOBI only? Then go for the Kindle. Do you read PDF, DOC…? Well, the Kindles are supported with AZW3, AZW, TXT, PDF, MOBI, HTML, DOC and DOCX, JPEG, GIF, BMP, PNG or PRC. But you have to admit that sometimes they don't convert it well and it can't be read properly (or they just don't read it).
Which Kindle to buy

And now we come to the end. And this is where we are going to talk to you about each of the available models, their characteristics, and what they give you for what they are worth.
Kindle 2023
This Kindle is the cheapest and cheapest model on Amazon. He is a reader who really does what he does: offer you an instrument to be able to read. No more.
The screen is 6 inches and has a capacity of 16 GB so you can put all the books you want in it.
It has WiFi connectivity and the battery will last you about 6 weeks. However, it does not have screen rotation or wireless charging. And it is not waterproof.
Its size is 113 mm (width) x 160 mm (height) and it weighs about 174 grams.
Kindle Paperwhite
The next one when buying a Kindle by price is this. It is a small leap from the previous one, but it also offers you something more.
For one thing, the battery life goes down to 10 weeks or so. In addition, it is waterproof and the screen is larger, 6,8 inches.
As for its size, it is 125 mm (width) x 174 mm (height). It also weighs more, 208 grams.
Now, in this case we lowered the capacity from 16GB to only 8.
Kindle Paperwhite Signature
A pro version of the previous one is this other one, which has an even higher price than the previous one. The characteristics are the same as in the previous one, but it has some points in favor such as:
- Wireless charging.
- Being able to adjust the brightness.
- More capacity, 32 GB.
It has the same measurements and weight. it only changes in the above.
Kindle Oasis
It is one of the most advanced ebook readers. It has a 7-inch screen and they have added a warm light to be able to read it even in the dark. It is waterproof and its measurements are 141 mm (width) x 159 mm (height). It weighs about 188 grams.
Regarding capacity, there are two models, 8 or 32 GB. It has WiFi and 4G connection.
Kindle Scribe
The last of the Kindles that you can buy, although due to its price it is not for everyone, is this one. It stands out from all the others in the fact that it is not only useful for reading, but you can also use it for writing.
It has several models, with a capacity of 16, 32 or 64 GB and has a WiFi connection (it does not have 4G). It also has a bright front light and automatic rotation.
The screen is 10,2 inches while its measurements are 196 mm (width) x 229 mm (height). It weighs 433 grams.
Many Kindle models to buy at different prices. Each one is slightly better than the previous one. But the truth is that if you only want it to read, the first (and cheaper) or the second would be more than enough. In the case of Kindle Scribe, we would only recommend it if, in addition to reading, you had to take notes, or you needed to have a device on which to read and write (beyond your mobile). For its price, we still see it as too expensive to invest in.
Now it's up to you to decide which Kindle to buy and at what price. Of course, we advise you to wait for dates indicated by Amazon to obtain it with the odd significant discount (sometimes they reduce it by 20% or more).
