“A GIF is worth a thousand words” or at least it is more convenient than playing a video… And as we know, this image format is very popular on social networks like Facebook, where if we find one that we like, we simply share it so that our colleagues can see it.
But what if, for example, I want to send a GIF on WhatsApp? For now, it's not possible; there's no support. However, that doesn't mean we'll just sit idly by. Our workaround is to convert a GIF into a video , so we can then send it without any problems. 😎
Online-convert the friendly tool
For this conversion purpose we will use the free and all-powerful web tool online-convert.com , which is in Spanish and requires no registration or payment.
STEP 1 - Open the Video Converter list and choose a format from the many available, whichever you prefer. Personally, I choose ' Convert to MP4 '.
STEP 2 - It's time to upload the GIF . We can do this either by selecting the file from the computer, entering its URL, or through services like Dropbox or Google Drive.
In this example I will convert the GIF to video from a URL and without making additional adjustments.
STEP 3 - Click the 'Convert file' button one last time and the conversion process will begin. After a few seconds, your video will be automatically downloaded and you will have a direct download link.
Final result of GIF to video conversion
This is the GIF that was used for this example:
And this is the GIF converted to video (the audio was embedded with music from YouTube).
