If you use Google Chrome in your day-to-day, you will surely have been in for a big surprise with the recent update, specifically with version 42, as there has been a significant change; It's about a new bookmark manager. How can you see it? easy, in a new tab enter the URL chrome: // bookmarks or from the browser menu itself.
"The bookmarks have been updated to facilitate their search and have a better organization of them", or at least that is what it intends. The truth is that this update of the bookmarks has not been to the liking of many users, for example you can read the opinions in English in the official google forum, And in this blog with harsh negative reviews: O
Personally, I must say that I like the change, visually I find the bookmark manager to be more pleasant, the interface is clean and organized. Even so, there are those who do not agree but not at all with the change and demand that it go back to being as before.

How to go back to the old Bookmark Manager
You may not have liked this new management of bookmarks either, in that case don't worry, disabling it is very easy through the experimental functions, follow the steps.
1. In a new tab open the following address:
chrome: // flags / # enhanced-bookmarks-experiment
2. You will find the option «Enable enhanced bookmarks»Which will be in default mode, just disable that setting, restart Google Chrome for the changes to take effect and that's it 😀
Tell us, what did you think of the change? Which bookmark manager do you prefer?
I share your trick that is quite hidden and that hardly anyone would know how to do it. Thanks 😉
Thank you very much Jaume, I am glad to know that the trick has been useful to you.
Greetings! =)
Hello Juan, if there is any change this post will be updated and as you say, we hope that the
solution will last longer or the folks at Google will surprise us for good in the future update.
Hopefully this solution lasts longer, because I'm sure they will end up removing this vaccine as they did with the temporary pages. Finally, thanks for the tutorial, it served me at least for now.
Thank you very much, good to know that you have been able to return to the usual bookmarks manager 🙂
Thank you very much Marcelo, the new bookmarks are very difficult to use and are not effective ... with your help I was able to recover the previous version ...
Visually, very successful. As a manager, a nervous breakdown provocateur. Difficult to select a marker, repetition of the operation because you are not sure if you have really saved it in the right place. The folder tree is not quickly accessible. The copy paste and rename, you have to get out and do it with another of the options…. short, nice but of zero utility and efficiency
without words, often upset if I do not find your input .. thank you very much .. 😉
I want to activate them again 🙁
They were deactivated a long time ago and I am realizing that if the new markers work for me
but I go to the link that you put and that option no longer appears
Can't put them on anymore?
Hi Jose, I'm not sure, but try to access this in a new tab:
chrome: // flags / # disable-new-bookmark-apps
And enable it, maybe so you can have the new bookmarks.
Thanks for the answer friend, but unfortunately they don't work anymore (I think)
I already enable the option of those bookmarks and restart google chrome and they remain the same
Marcelo, do you still have the new markers? they may be activated in another way.
Hi Jose, the truth is that I continue with the old bookmarks, although I also enabled the option that I suggested earlier to try. By the way I have compared on the PCs of other friends and they also have the classic markers. Will they have disappeared in the latest updates? We will see what happens in the long-awaited version 55 of Chrome 🙂
I suppose that if they have removed them 🙁
I found a post in the google forums that speak very badly of the new bookmarks and that is why they had been removed due to the annoyance of many people
I hope they include them in the new version of chrome 🙂
Thanks for the help anyway 😀
