Keep in mind that it's not a good idea to steal other people's work, especially since you could be sued. But if you want to download it without any connection to TikTok, then the steps you should take are the following:

- Find a video that you like and want to download it.

Since I don't know if, when you want to download a TikTok video, the previous methods don't work, I wanted to look for some alternatives. And here they are.
One of the first alternatives is an extension you can install on Firefox and Chrome browsers. It's called Video DownloadHelper. It's one of the most comprehensive extensions because it can download many types of videos.
Once you put it in, you will be able to download the TikTok videos because you simply have to view the social network through the browser and, when you have a video that you want, you will only have to click on the extension button (icon with three colored bubbles , yellow, red and blue).

Another option I can suggest is apps you can find on Google Play or even the Apple Store. Some examples are TikTok Video Downloader, Downloader for TikTok, and TikLoader.
These applications are also usually updated, so that if TikTok changes, they are usually updated to continue allowing you to save the videos.
As there are several that you can find, I recommend that you try some of them so that you can see if they are useful or not, if they fail a lot, etc. Once there is one that is your favorite, leave it on your phone and remove the rest so that they don't take up too much space.
Finally, and perhaps as a last resort, you could record the video yourself with your phone. Many phones have a screen recording option, so you can record it just like you would a video. The only thing is, you'll then have to trim it so that the top menu of your phone doesn't appear.
