How to hide all Chrome extensions with 1 click

Hey, very good! As a good user of the Google Chrome browser, it is likely that you have various extensions installed for different uses, whether for work, improving the performance of the browser, personalization, productivity, fun and stop counting, well we know that extensions are necessary and of great help to all; even essential in some cases.

But not everything is rosy, as we install extensions, we notice a small problem: the address bar is getting shorter. This can be cumbersome, because the extensions create their icons that take up space on the «omni box«, And if there are many the solution is hide them from there.

Extensions installed in Chrome

Ah, but hiding them is easy Marcelo! ... Yes, it is very easy, or at least that's how it seems to be:

1 right click on the extension, choose 'Hide in Chrome menu' and that's it ... 😀

That is the classic method that is known, however there is another much faster and more efficient way that I have found that it goes unnoticed by many users, colleagues, friends and family. Which?

Hide Quick Chrome Extensions

No mystery comrade, just place the cursor at the end of the address bar until it changes to a double arrow, at that moment you click left and hold to drag the bar to the right, you will notice that the icons of the extensions will be hidden until it disappears completely. 😎

The final result compared to the previous image is as follows:

Where have the extension icons gone? Well now they are in the context menu.

In the following GIF you can see the procedure in action and detail.

Simple enough right? Remember that you can also move the icons, change their position and leave a few in view with this procedure if you wish, but if you don't need any visible, Goodbye Nicanor! 😉

Tell us, did you know about this method? Do you have a lot of extensions installed?
