How to check the level of privacy on Facebook (ReclaimPrivacy.org)

Recently it has been questioning (criticizing) quite the privacy level providing Facebook for its users, even more so with the statements of its developer who said that «lthe age of privacy was over«From this, many have already chosen to cancel their account and look for safer alternatives (it is a frequent question on Google).

However, for those of us who still want to use this beneficial social network, we have at our disposal a code of ReclaimPrivacy.org, which through a simple test will inform us how secure our account is and which modules to correct to get more privacy on Facebook.
Its mode of use is quite simple:

  • You log in to Facebook
  • Login to your profile
  • Copy and paste the following code into your browser's address bar (replacing the profile URL), then press Enter:
javascript: (function () {var% 20script = document.createElement ('script'); script.src = 'http: //static.reclaimprivacy.org/javascripts/privacyscanner.js'; document.getElementsByTagName ('head') [0] .appendChild (script);}) ()

The analysis of your privacy regarding your personal information and others will begin instantly, then in a matter of seconds and once the test is finished you will be informed which are the secure modules and which are not, so that you can configure them properly. (see screenshot)

This service is available in English, but I am sure that it will not be an impediment to take advantage of it and improve our privacy on Facebook.

Regarding the subject, you are invited to participate in our survey of the month referred to Facebook Vs Twitter Which is better? which is in the right panel and if you like LifeBytes can join our group on Facebook how welcome they will be 
