Torrents are a great way to transfer large files from one place to another using a simple peer-to-peer (P2P) connection. For this, uTorrent is the quintessential torrent client, standing out for being lightweight, fast, stable, and powerful. It's likely to become your favorite program for downloading torrents.
The "drawback" of uTorrent in its free version is advertising, we are talking about the ads that are displayed on the interface, which can be annoying for the user. Here is a screenshot, where advertising is marked with red:
If you also find uTorrent's ads annoying , there's an easy way to hide them with just a couple of settings, without affecting the program's functionality. Let's get started.
Hide uTorrent advertising
Step 1. Open uTorrent or BitTorrent
Step 2. Go to the Options menu > Preferences > Advanced
Step 3. In the "Filter" search bar, type upsell and change the default value true to false.

Step 4. Now type offer and change the last 2 options to false as well.

Step 5. Close uTorrent completely including from the system tray or notification area.
Ready! that's all, now run the client again and you will see that the advertisements have disappeared and you will have in a certain way more visual comfort when using the program.
