1. Select a contact to start a conversation
2. Press the menu of your mobile and choose «View contact»To access your information
3. Press on their profile picture to view it in full screen
4. Close WhatsApp and with your file explorer -if you don't have one I recommend ES File Explorer (it's free)- go to the location of the WhatsApp folder.
5. Finally open the subfolder «Profile Pictures»
6. Done! there you have the photo of your contacts on WhatsApp 
How does this trick work? Easy, when you open the photo of your contact in large, a copy is automatically saved in the Profile Pictures directory of the WhatsApp folder, so you need to explore that path and repeat the steps for each contact you want to obtain their profile picture.
By having your friends' photos at your complete disposal on WhatsApp, you can copy, cut, share, move, rename, delete, set as wallpaper and whatever you want 
