If you want to know what steps you must follow to do so and ensure that your computer is clean of files of this type, do not hesitate to take a look at this guide that we have prepared for you.
Valorant, a free shooting game

Valorant is a game developed by Riot Games. It has the characteristic of being free and, for those who like shooting games, it can attract a lot.
But after a while, you may get bored of it, or not want to continue the game. Now, it may seem easy, but in reality it is not so easy. For this reason, many end up with loose files on their computer that, when it comes to reinstalling (for example, because they want to start from scratch), can cause problems.
How to uninstall Valorant

Valorant is a computer game (although it is also available on consoles). It can be played on Windows, Mac or Linux. But we must warn you that there really are no native versions for those two previous systems. Therefore, you have to use emulators or similar to make them run.
If what you want is to uninstall Valorant on Windows completely, you have to follow these steps to avoid problems with the Riot client.
The first step you have to do, before you even uninstall the video game, is to uninstall Riot Vanguard. This is because, to offer the best gaming experience and also to prevent you from cheating in the game. But in many cases it prevents you from being able to uninstall the game as you would normally do with another program.
For this reason, before working with the game, you need to uninstall Riot Vanguard. And how is that done? We are going to give you two ways, although we recommend that you apply both.
The first is to go to the bottom right of your computer, to the taskbar, and locate the Vanguard icon. With the right mouse button, click on it and click "exit Vanguard". This way you should no longer have problems uninstalling Valorant. Now, you may only have that Riot game, so it doesn't hurt to remove everything if you're never going to play it again.
Go to the Windows Start button, and look for settings there. If you can't find it, use the search bar to locate it.
Once you are in the settings, go to Applications. And once there, go to applications and features.
Next, you have to look in the list of apps for the one that says Riot Vanguard. Click on it.
Now, the uninstall button will appear. Press and wait for the computer to finish doing this.
Time to uninstall Valorant
Once you have uninstalled Vanguard, you should have no problem deleting all the game files from your computer. To do this, you must follow the same previous steps, that is:
- Go to the Windows Start button. There you must click on Settings. If it doesn't appear, you will have to use the Windows search engine to give you direct access to that part.
- Within Settings, you must go to the Applications part. There, you will have to look for applications and features. This will bring up a list of all the applications (programs) that you have installed.
- Search for Valorant (if you have it alphabetically it will be at the end). And click on it so that the option to uninstall appears. This way, you will only have to wait for it to do so and the icon to disappear.
Now, even though you have uninstalled it, it is very likely that there will still be some temporary files. Our suggestion is that you go to the part where Valorant was installed to see if any folder of this game has been left (in case you reinstall it) and delete it directly. Since the program is no longer there, don't be afraid to delete it. Likewise, it is possible that other files remain in other folders, even hidden. Some recommend using a third-party uninstaller or doing a cleanup to erase all traces.
Can't it be done manually? Yes and no. If you have experience with a computer and you know how to use it, you could look in the most important folders on the system to locate files that correspond to Valorant. But if you make a mistake and delete something important, you can put your computer at risk. So it is better not to touch it if you are not sure that it could affect the operating system.
How to delete your Valorant account

If you no longer want to know anything about the game, or you do but would like to start from scratch, you may be interested in deleting your entire account completely. This is not exactly done by removing the program from your computer, but you have to do it through the Valorant support page.
So you will have to Enter it with your username and password and go to “Account management, data request or deletion”. This will appear in the drop-down menu.
Since what you want is to delete the account, you will have to click on the "I need help with my account" option. There, choose “I would like to delete my account.”
You will have to give a reason for doing so (although the truth is that this will not make them let you or not delete it. Once done, click the Send button.
Of course, they will not delete the account immediately, it will enter a period of 30 days from that day so that, if you change your mind, you can recover it before Riot Games deletes it completely because everything you have will be deleted and you have achieved with it (that means achievements, trophies, coins, accessories, weapons...). There will be no turning back if those 30 days pass.
Now you have the keys to know how to uninstall Valorant and do it completely so that no trace is left on your computer. Have you ever had to do it? Has it caused you complications? We read you in comments.
