Last September, at VidaBytes we invited you to participate in a survey on the valuation of free software in society 2012, today we tell you that the disclosure of the "Free Software Assessment Report 2012", which is carried out annually by the software portal PortalProgramas.com.

This report tries to answer several of the questions we raised regarding the valuation of free software by home users: Do they really know it? Is its use widespread? Do you trust him?
These are some of the conclusions drawn:
- The number of users who confuse free software with free software decreases by 10%.
- Knowledge of free software in Latin America has improved twice compared to last year.
- 55% of Android users are familiar with free software, only slightly outnumbering Windows users.
- Only 4% more free software users prefer Firefox to Chrome.
