We use them in our day to day because without a doubt they are a great ally for work and a good study companion, we are of course talking about text editors. Regardless of the activity we dedicate ourselves to, these types of tools are essential on any computer, since a text editor is excellent for writing quick notes, writing code if you are a developer or also using it as a writing tool without distractions
The files that we save with the notepad or text editor, we generally know them as plain text files or just like text files, and as we well know, they help us to work in a more efficient way and even better to save time.

What is a text editor

What is a text processor
A word processor is a program that allows you to create, save and modify text files with a wide possibility of editing format, size, font, color, images, among many other functionalities. Example: Microsoft Word, WordPad.
Don't confuse text editor with word processor
Knowing the concept of text editors and word processors, we should not confuse both, because with the editor we can only save precisely that, text. While with the processor we have more features or functionalities available for writing.
Using the text editors
Although they are focused on working with plain text files, to save quick notes, with a text editor we can also if we are software developers, open multiple programming language formats and continue programming, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, XML, BAT, ASP, SQL, among many others.
Use of word processors
Here we already have more editing freedom, we can create text documents to add images, edit formats by adding bold to the text, changing the font size, font, spell checker, synonym dictionary, among many other features, all of them focused on office automation.
