Knowing the format of a page in Word is indispensable in many current professional and academic fields. Lets learn together What is a page and how to configure it in the Microsoft system?

What is a Word page?
Many of us who have gone through the university education system have burned What is a pastern? Practically every work, essay, project or brief written reflection assigned in these areas is defined by this fundamental measure. It is considered an adequate size to articulate a short, medium or long-term work, but especially in a short format.
However, not everyone has to know it and there are those who are just starting out in these scenarios. So we can define a pastern as a widely used type of sheet with almost invariable own dimensions. For example, the usual page order is based on 25 lines per page with 1.5 line spacing. The typeface that is usually used in this format is the typical Times New Roman with size 12. And the final count of the words written per page should be around 250 words.
Regarding the margins, one of the most important aspects of any text format, those on the left and right are kept in a traditional page between 2 centimeters and 2.5 centimeters. And the top and bottom margins are slightly larger, ranging in size from 2.5 cm to 3 cm.

How to correctly configure a page in Word?
Now that we know the basic format of a page, we must enter the Word system to know how to configure it from there? And have the desired result for our work. The steps would be the following:
- In the first place, logically, it is necessary to open the Word program, recognizable by its large blue letter W on a white square. We open a blank document, the first option that the program will offer, and paste any text as proof. If you want to apply the page structure directly on a text that you want to deliver, you can do so.
- After arranging the chosen text in a basic way, justifying it to have it all straight, we will go to the Page Layout option. There, in the box referring to size, we can choose the general dimension of the sheet to work with. We will choose from all the options the A4 size, which marks 21 cm by 29,7 cm.
- Having the size ready, it will be necessary to take care of the appropriate margins, a section also available in the Page Design section. There we will select the aforementioned dimensions, 2-2.5 cm for the sides and 2.5-3cm for the upper and lower side.
- Then, let's make sure we have the sheet in a vertical position, in the section that is right next to it and is called Orientation. We will choose the option for the modification to be applied to the entire document and press Accept.
- After having size, orientation and margins ready, we can only take care of the letter and line spacing. The former can be found in the Home section. We will choose from the list, as we have said before, the font Times New Roman, choosing size 12 right next to it. Take into account that in many scenarios the Arial is now also used in size 12, so check the font that is used. requests. The title of the text in a page is usually slightly larger, 14.
- The line spacing can be accessed by right-clicking on the text, choosing Paragraph in the displayed window, or by means of the icon of parallel lines with up and down arrows, located in the Home section. In either of the two ways we will choose the 1,5 line spacing option, the basic option for any project.
- The most important thing has been accomplished. If you want, you can also add fancy page numbering in the Insert section and the Page Number option. You can also add text to the header in the same Insert section.
